Balat

Balat is the traditional Jewish quarter in the district of Fatih of Istanbul. It is in the European bank of Istanbul and is situated south of the Golden Horn (the other İstanbul quarter deeply associated with Jewish settlement being Kuzguncuk on the Asian shore).
