This category contains Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Policies and guidelines are a set of rules and recommendations which are broadly agreed upon. Certain policies, such as the neutral point of view and copyright policy, are effectively imposed by the Wikimedia Foundation and not subject to change by the Wikipedia project itself. Otherwise, policies may change but rarely do so, and should generally always be followed. Guidelines are less fixed and frequently take the form of recommendations rather than hard-and-fast rules, but adherence to them is expected nevertheless.
