Evonne Hsu (traditional Chinese: 許慧欣; simplified Chinese: 许慧欣; pinyin: Xǔ Huìxīn; born December 5, 1979, in Longview, Texas, U.S.) is a Golden Melody Award winning, American born Taiwanese pop singer. She released her first album "To Be Happy" in January of 2002. To date, Evonne has recorded six albums. She has also published her own book:eVonne的自然反應. Her recently released album includes a hit song called "Poem Water Snake Mountain Temple" composed by pop guru Jay Chou. Hsu belongs to the management company, Wingman, managed by former 5566 member, Rio Peng. Other artists that belong to this company include W畊宏, Kone, Ivy (許嘉凌, eVonne's sister), Alicia(潘瑋儀), Vivi (夏如芝), Niki, 無限(Freddy and Teddy), Wing, Style (浩偉and宏霖), and育緯. On January 23, she published her second book 《琴迷威尼斯情歌精選樂譜書》and on February 14, the Wingman family released their first album 〈翼之星Wingman 2007〉. In the album, eVonne sang in the song 〈星之翼〉. Another song featured in the album,〈給我音樂〉, was sung by eVonne herself and was a song for a radio station. Now she is filming a comedy in China by the name 《大胃王》with famous Chinese comedian-潘長江. The filming started on June 8, 2007. On 7 July 2007 Hsu performed at the Chinese leg of Live Earth in Shanghai.
