Princess Fadia Farouk (15 December1943-28 December2002) was the youngest daughter of the late King Farouk of Egypt and his first wife, the former Farida Favzira. When Farouk was deposed in July 1952, Fadia was sent to boarding school in Switzerland. On 17 February 1965, at the Kensington Registry Office, she married Pierre Alexievitch Orloff, who converted to Islam, taking the name Sa'id. They had two sons. Princess Fadia died in Lausanne, Switzerland and was buried at Cairo, Egypt. |
