Faizal Tahir

Faizal Tahir was a contestant in the reality television show, One in a Million. He was a former member of a nasyid team and also a host. Currently preparing his debut solo album, Faizal is under the management of The 8 Unit. He also hosts the reality talent show Gangstarz.
BiographyMirwanaFaizal was a member of nasyid group Mirwana. He left the group in late 2005 due to an illness that might hurt him badly. Nevertheless, he tried to be more worldly by becoming a pop rock singer. One In A MillionThroughout the competition, Faizal sang:
At the beginning of the grand finale show, Marion Caunter and Awal Ashaari informed that Faizal was eliminated, but he was given another chance to perform for the grand prize. It meant that he was still in the competition. His first original single, Maha Karya Cinta, a song composed by Audi Mok, made itsa debut in the Grand Finale of One In a Million. Despite that, he only managed to be runner-up to Suki Low. Faizal released a single, Kasih Tercipta, as part of the soundtrack for local film Waris Jari Hantu. He was also named as the sole Malaysian spokesperson for DC Superheroes clothing, as he was famously noted for wearing T-shirts with the Superman logo throughout One in a Million. He also recorded Gemuruh, the theme song for My Starz LG. Aku.Muzik.KamuFazial's first album, Aku.Muzik.Kamu, was finally released on 22 November 2007, featuring 13 tracks mostly written by himself alongside Audi Mok, Kuncidemak, Omar K, Aubrey Suwito, Tessh RS, and Ahmad Izham Omar, including the orchestral version of Mahakarya Cinta, and the first original single from the album, Batu & Golek (which is a literal translation of Rock n' Roll). Personal LifeHe is married to a young woman who was his colleague from UiTM, Siti Raihanim Noran. He has two children, son Mikaeel Zidane and daughter Siti Raudhah Nur Iman. They currently reside in Selangor Darul Ehsan. Faizal is a composer and also a singer. He built a mini studio named Home Suite Studio, located at Ukay Perdana, Ampang. In 2008, he moved his studio to Damansara and changed it's name to Aku.Muzik.Kamu. He contributes many songs to other singers like Firdaus, Dayang Nurfaizah, Mirwana and Rast. ControversyOn 13 January 2008, Faizal courted controversy by removing his shirts to his bare chest and also his belt "live" on television during 8TV's fourth anniversay concert. Thus, 8TV's top management took stern action by giving him strict warnings and requiring him to be involved in charity work for six months. Besides this, two days after the incident, 8TV hald a press conference for him to apologize to all who were offended by his stunt.[1] As a result, on 19 January, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) stated that it would ban him from appearing on television for three months, and also bar 8TV from airing live or tape-delayed entertainment programmes throughout the same period, effective 15 January.[2] The ban ruined his chance to perform two songs in Anugerah Juara Lagu organized by TV3.
