Frederick Elmes

Frederick Elmes, also known as Fred Elmes, is a cinematographer best known for his work on Blue Velvet, and continued to colloborate with director David Lynch for his later films (although the two had previously worked together on Eraserhead). He has mainly contributed his visual work to the vision of directors David Lynch, Ang Lee and Jim Jarmusch. It was working on Eraserhead with Lynch (with whom he attended the American Film Institute) where he both started his career as a director of photography and made what could be known as his most defining work.
