Liu Huan

This is a Chinese name; the family name is Liu (劉).

Liu Huan (劉歡) is a famous male pop singer in China. His song Asking myself a thousand times for that (千萬次地問) remained in the number one position for ten weeks on mainland China radio stations. In 1994, he was invited to New York's Carnegie Hall and got thunderous applause for his beautiful singing.[citation needed]  

Early life

In 1985, Liu graduated from the University of International Relations in Beijing, majoring in French language. Following that, he was sent to the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region; his time there had a definite influence on his music.
