Michael Findlay, along with his wife Roberta Findlay, directed and produced numerous sexploitation movies. They are notable for having created the infamous Flesh trilogy and, with Allan Shackleton, for Snuff (1975), the namesake of the fictional snuff film genre. Michael Findlay was killed by being decapitated in a helicopter accident on the roof of the then Pan Am Building (now named the MetLife Building) in New York City in May 1977. The New York Airways helicopter Findlay and three other passengers were in the process of boarding tipped on its side while the rotors were still running. [1] References
