The Second Moroccan Crisis, also called the Agadir Crisis, was sparked by the German demand for large areas of French Equatorial Africa to compensate for Germany's loss during the First Moroccan Crisis. The deployment of the German warship Panther heightened the tension when it was sent to the Moroccan port of Agadir on July 11911.
