Peking University Gymnasium is an indoor arena located on the southeastern part of Peking University in Beijing, China. It is currently under construction for the 2008 Summer Olympics. It will host the Table Tennis events. The gymnasium has a floor space of 26,900 m², 6,000 permanent seats and 2,000 temporary seats. It is scheduled to be complete by August 2007. On the morning of July 2, 2007, the gymnasium caught fire during welding works with no injuries reported. |
