Ride On is the primary public transportation system in Montgomery County, Maryland. Ride On serves Montgomery County as well as the Urbana Park and Ride lot in Urbana (Frederick County), and the community of Langley Park in Prince George's County. Ride On also serves the Takoma Metro station, and Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C. FleetRide On operates a fleet consisting mainly of diesel, CNG, and hybrid buses produced by Orion Bus Industries, Gillig Corporation, New Flyer and Cutaway Vans by El Dorado body/Navistar International chassis, Champion body/Navistar International chassis, and Champion body/Chevrolet chassis. Models in the fleet (current as of March 2008) include:
The bus fleet, owned and operated by Ride On, is distributed among two garages in Silver Spring and Gaithersburg. Gaithersburg garage is located adjacent to the Shady Grove Metro rail yard. The cutaway fleet, owned by Ride On and operated by MV Transportation, is located in two separate garages within the county. External links
