Seleucus was the name of several Macedonian kings of the Seleucid dynasty ruling in the area of Syria:

  • Seleucus, of Emesa.. Aspalieutica in epic verse (4 books); commentary on the lyric poets; Parthica (2 books). (I have also found another Seleucus inserted; but he did not have any books.)

Etymology

A dialectic variant of the name Zaleucus ,very white[1][2]
