SourceForge is a brand name shared by a free open source code repository, a related proprietary enterprise application, and the company which initially created them both. SourceForge may refer to:
- SourceForge.net, a source code repository and centralized location for software developers to control and manage open source software development.
- SourceForge Enterprise Edition, a collaborative revision control and software development management system which provides a front-end to a range of software development lifecycle services and integrates with a number of free software / open source software applications (such as PostgreSQL and Subversion). While originally itself open source software, SourceForge was commercialized as v2.5 prototype code and eventually relicensed under a proprietary software license as SourceForge Enterprise Edition.
- SourceForge, Inc., (NASDAQ: LNUX), formerly VA Software Corporation, VA Linux Systems, and VA Research, is the provider of SourceForge.net and original creator of SourceForge Enterprise Edition (which they later sold off). SourceForge, Inc. runs several other well-known websites, including ThinkGeek and Slashdot.
